Step Inside The Obliteration Room

This what happens when you give kids colorful stickers in a simple, clear and white room. Very creative and beautiful right? In this article, We will get to know which artistic mind is behind this brilliant idea called "THE OBLITERATION ROOM".

Yayoi Kusama’s constructed an interactive Obliteration Room for the Queensland Gallery of Modern Air. Obliteration Room starts off as an entirely white space, furnished as a monochrome living room. Every wall, furnitures such as piano, chairs, tables, shelves and etc. are painted white by Kusama. The Room looks like a perfectly white canvass waiting for it's artist to fuse it's wonderful ideas on it.

In the the course of two weeks, people mostly young kids are then invited to ‘obliterate’ with colorful stickers. Within two weeks, The simple and white room that looked like an empty canvass transformed into a vibrant mottled explosion of different colors work of art.

Every wall, ceiling, furniture were all covered with various colors of stickers making everyone who have seen the room amazed and inspired. It is awesome to know that from a simple room, kids can come up with this wonderful execution thanks to the brilliant mind of Yayoi Kusama.

The Obliteration Room is part of Yayoi Kusama's art exhibition entitled ''Look Now, See Forever''.
